Mehmet Tanrısever

Producer, Director, Industrialist and a Big Worker

Mehmet Tanrısever was born in the village of Bağyurdu in the Bozkır district of Konya in 1953. He migrated to Istanbul at a young age to work and earn money and, despite facing many difficulties in his early years, he founded Mert Çelik Ltd. Co. in 1976 in a workshop located in Vefa, Istanbul. Since then, Tanrısever has adopted honesty and courage as a way of life. In 2003, the Istanbul Chamber of Industry declared Mert Çelik Ltd. Co. as one of 'Türkiye's 1000 Largest Companies,' and the company is currently engaged in commercial activities in the energy sector.

Tanrısever's foray into the cinema sector began with Feza Film, a full-featured production company he founded in 1989. With film productions such as 'Abdullah from Minye 1' and 'Abdullah from Minye 2,' Tanrısever achieved box office records. In 1992, he directed his first film, 'Exile,' which received awards from international film festivals. In 2019, he won more than 200 awards at international film festivals with his films 'Free Slave' and 'Bozkir Look at the Birds,' which he called his 'masterpieces.'
